Taiwanese citizens have two options for obtaining an Egypt tourist e-Visa which is the more secure and convenient.

Taiwanese travelers do not need to visit an embassy or consulate months before traveling to Egypt. An Egypt e-Visa can be obtained from anywhere in the world as long as they have an Internet connection.

With respect to the Egypt Tourist e-Visa, Taiwanese passport holders have a choice between a single entry visa and a multiple entry visa.

  • Egypt Tourist e-visa (single entry): This type of visa will allow Taiwanese visitors to enter Egypt once and stay for up to 30 days from the date of arrival. It is valid for 90 days from the date that it was issued.
  • Egypt Tourist e-visa (multiple entries): The Egypt multi-entry visa permits the Taiwanese to enter and exit the country as many times as they wish within 180 days of the date of issuance and the total amount of staying time per entry is limited to 30 days.

The Egyptian authorities require Taiwanese citizens applying for an Egypt e-Visa to submit certain information. Below are the details required:

  • Taiwanese passport must be valid for at least six months after its date of entry, with at least 02 blank pages for entry/exit stamps.
  • Credit or debit card.
  • A valid email address.

Upon receiving the Egypt e-Visa, Taiwanese travelers must print a physical copy and keep it on hand at all times, since they will need to submit it alongside their passports when entering Egypt.

Taiwanese citizens must complete the Egypt e-Visa application form with basic personal information, passport details, and travel plans to Egypt.

The following requirements apply to Taiwanese citizens for the Egypt e-Visa:

  • Your full name, birth date, and nationality.
  • Email address and phone number.
  • The number of a Taiwanese passport.
  • A date range for arrival and departure.

Egypt e-Visa fee for Taiwanese citizens

Two types of Egypt e-Visa fees are charged for e-visa applications: the government fee and the service fee. Since Taiwan is currently not on Egypt's exemption list, you are required to pay the government fee as a Taiwanese citizen.

The service fee is calculated based on the processing time you select:

  • Normal: This service type will provide an e-visa within 03 business days.
  • Urgent: This enhanced service allows you to receive your e-visa sooner normal e-Visa. If you choose to make use of this one, your e-visa will be sent to you within 02 business days.
  • Super urgent: If you choose this service type, you'll have your e-visa result within 01 business day.
